Anxiety in Product Management

With Dibrugarh flooded — without electricity and internet, I got some time to disconnect and think about work, without actually working.
As Product Managers, we all strive excellence, right?
But, to be honest — that pursuit of perfection often leads to anxiety. We worry about every feature, every user interaction, performance, customer differences, acceptance, adoption, chances of failure, and a lot of “what ifs”.
Something that I’m continuously trying to accept is that “done” is more valuable than “perfect”. There will always be room for improvement, new data to review and analyze, and user feedback to incorporate. But if we are stuck in a loop of refinement, trying to boil the ocean, we risk missing opportunities to learn and iterate.
Calling something “done” doesn’t mean giving up on quality. It means prioritizing delivery, gathering user data, and using that data to inform the next iteration.
